Kara Zacharewicz

Originally from Boulder Colorado, Kara grew up an avid reader, searching for stories to occupy their time, and was introduced to technical theatre through the graphic novel Drama by Raina Telgemeier in 4th grade. As a result, they joined stage crew in middle school and have been involved in theatre ever since. Kara is currently pursuing a BFA in Scene Design and will graduate in May 2027.

Coming from a costuming background pre-college, Kara has an affinity for fabric, loving how it can unify different design departments. They're intrigued by and value inter-departmental collaboration and integration (think lights in costumes or using the set to create sound effects).

Kara is always willing to share knowledge and is forever wanting to learn new things. Tenacious and often obsessive over details, they are willing to do whatever needs to be done and to help out wherever they can, as it is impossible to do theatre alone.
